Nitro-G 2.6 tablet is used to prevent chest pain caused by angina pectoris and spasms in the blood vessels of the heart, mainly due to blockages in the heart vessels. It contains glyceryl trinitrate or nitroglycerin as its main ingredient. It acts as a vasodilator that helps in dilating and relaxing the blood vessels of the heart, thus reducing the pressure on the heart by making it easier to pump blood. Other medications that contain glyceryl trinitrate/nitroglycerin as an active component include Nitrolong CR tablet, Monit GTN tablet, Nitrocontin 2.6 tablet, Myonit SR tablet and Angiwell tablet.

Nitro-G 2.6 tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as it may increase the risk of heart-related complications. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting Nitro-G 2.6 tablet.
